Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this funding, adults with intellectual developmental disabilities and pervasive mental illness will experience a new skill and technique that can be used to print shirts, bags or other items for sale that display their art. The technique will offer a new way to express creativity, build confidence and offer a way to create income and challenge the perceptions of disability in our community. Evaluation method will include a worksheet to be completed by the artist, volunteers and staff after each workshop to measure participation, improvements in skill and accommodations needed to be successful in future sessions. Evaluation will also include worksheet with the participant to measure their personal feelings of success and to establish goals for future use of the screen printing skill. Final evaluation will measure the success of meeting each participants goals.
