Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this funding, Adults with Intellectual Developmental disabilities and pervasive mental illness will experience increased knowledge and awareness of storytelling, acting and the use of color and new techniques to create art in their own personal style. Participation in these workshops will help increase skill and confidence to interact more with the art community to perform, sell and exhibit art, helping to challenge the perceptions of disability within the community. Evaluation method will include a worksheet that will be completed by the artist, volunteers and staff after each session to measure participation, new skills learned, socialization and any accommodations that need to be made to help each artist be successful. Programming staff will work with each participant to establish goals and they will be reviewed after the workshops to see what new ideas each participant has for their future programming and what art they want to create in the future.
