ACHF Arts Access
HOBT will initiate the process to transform its home, the Avalon Theatre, to best support artist and community needs. HOBT will conduct surveys, interviews, and program audits. 2: HOBT will offer free and low cost virtual puppetry workshops, increasing relevance and accessibility. Workshop registrations, surveys, and one-to-one conversations will be used to evaluate programmatic relevancy and accessibility.
HOBT embodied racial and social equity by investing in new leadership, and creating accessible art that engaged and reflected our community. Organizational leadership was installed, and accessible programming developed; success of artistic programs was measured via participant surveys, and by the collected stories from the communities served. 2: HOBT began a process by which the Avalon Theatre will serve as the hub for a cohort of under-resourced artists. HOBT's is working to improve the Avalon Theatre building to ensure that it may serve as the center of their artmaking and presentation for under-resourced artists.
