Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This funding will help ensure I can continue to produce work (and not seek other employment) to position myself to be better prepared for the rest of my career as a full-time artist. I am a firm believer in a quote I was told by another entrepreneur many years ago; "You can't know failure. It is not an option." I believe that my success as a self-employed entrepreneur and artist in Duluth is a testament to that.By October, 1st, I will have two "sets" of my contemporary marbles made (~$40,000 worth of marbles/set.). This will allow me to leave one "set" on display in my gallery and take the other "set" to display at art festivals. I currently do not have even one full "set." A "set" consists of specific quantities of each size and style of marble that I make eg. 8-1.25", 8-1.5", 4-2", 2-2.5", 1-3", 1-3.5", 1-4", 1-5", 1-6" Galaxy Vortex Marbles. The Galaxy Vortex is one of eight marble series that I produce.

Measurable Outcome(s)

While I was not able to completely finish my goal, I was able to complete one full set of my marbles. This has allowed me to continue to keep a full set of the marbles in stock for sale at Lake Superior Art Glass. This has helped me solidify my position to be better prepared to continue to be a full time artist while being present as a father and husband.
