Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Through this opportunity I hope to achieve the following: - Learn Swedish traditional hand sewing stitches (backstitch, hemstitch, and buttonhole stitch and more), - Learn techniques for modifying patterns, pressing wool fabric, and properly cutting and lining a garment - Discuss with the instructor how to apply these techniques when using hand woven material to create such garments - Construct a traditional Swedish fitted vest. I will gauge my success on the following: - By acquiring the knowledge and skill of traditional Swedish hand sewing techniques as backstitch, hemstitch, and buttonhole stitch and more), - Learning techniques for modifying patterns, pressing wool fabric, and properly cutting and lining a garment - Complete the workshop feeling prepared to apply these new skills to the creation of garments using my hand woven fabric - Construct and complete of a traditional Swedish fitted vest.
