ACHF Arts Access
During this difficult time the only true safe place for groups to congregate from the virus is on the internet, specifically chat rooms. If I am able to put together a good option for people to tune in and hear this band that was supposed to play live on the road the next month, they can watch us perform in a unique format on the internet. I will know if this is a success if I am able to set up a live feed of my band performing live together online for the public. The viewers will be able contribute money through a virtual tip jar or a link to a venmo account making this both artistically and potentially financially rewarding for me.
I proposed to use grant funds for some living expenses during the Covid-19 pandemic. I also used this time to figure out how to go live on the internet with my band Glitteratti since our March tour was cancelled. We weren't unable to go live but we did record a physically distanced song together which I plan to release in August 2020. We recorded a rendition of the song "Plans" which was featured on the ARAC funded full length album 'Among the Wild'. Our original March tour was cancelled but we have managed to find time to squeeze in one gig in this summer. We will be performing at Earth Rider/Cedar Lounge on their outdoor stage on Thursday August 20th, 2020 from 5-8pm. We are calling this our local LP release show, rescheduled from our original March show.
