Hubbard County Surface Water Monitoring Program - Surface Water Assessment Grant (SWAG)
This project will include water quality monitoring on two rivers and twenty lakes found within the Crow Wing River Watershed. Rivers included are Fishhook and Straight River; lakes included are Mow, Big Bass, 11 CROW WING (MAIN), 11 CROWWING (EAST), Tenth Crow Wing, Third Crow Wing, Fourth Crow Wing, First Crow Wing, Shallow, Deer, Waboose, East Crooked, Middle Crooked, West Crooked, Dead, Ojibway, Upper Twin, Pickerel, Moran, Little Mantrap, Portage. Water quality sampling will be conducted according to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency work plan parameters. 14 lakes and both streams will be sampled and monitored in2020; both streams and remaining 6 lakes will be monitored and sampled in 2021. Streams will be sampled multiple times in the months of June, July, and August according to the sampling schedule. In addition, temperature profiles will be collected at the lake sites during each visit and photographs will be taken to compliment the data at each sample site.
