ACHF Arts Access
TU Dance will collaboratively create and deliver a valued model for providing access to dance programs for communities facing geographic barriers. Obtain qualitative feedback from young participants and families on value of the experience; discuss results and lessons of partnership and the access model among project team members and stakeholders. 2: Underserved North Minneapolis youth and their families will report feeling connected to dance and welcomed into the TU Dance community. Youth participant qualitative comments gathered in surveys and shared with teachers/artists; parent qualitative comments gathered in surveys about their own and their child's sense of belonging at TU Dance Center.
We developed a school partnership and community outreach model that provided access to valued dance activities and overcame barriers. We obtained qualitative feedback from students and families on the value of their experience, and discussed results/lessons of the partnership with Sheridan personnel, including suggestions for improving the model. 2: We engaged new Northeast Minneapolis youth and families, who reported feeling welcomed into the art form and our organization. We gathered student and parent comments, surveyed participants and their families for qualitative input and demographic reach, and assessed outcomes with our artists and school personnel.
