Riverside Plaza Tenant Association will work with local filmmakers to empower Somali immigrants and refugees to tell their own stories through documentary filmmaking.

Participants will gain documentary filmmaking and storytelling skills in order to tell empowering personal stories. Organization and artists will administer surveys to participants before and after program to evaluate change in skill level and final documentaries will be screened in a public forum. 2: RPTA will use filmmaking to advance the cultural community, empower individuals, and increase technical skills of Riverside Plaza tenants. Participants learned basic skills of documentary fillmaking they will contunue to develop over time. Due to the delay of final screening, surveys were not administered. However, RPTA director verbally consulted with participants about initial workshops. 2: RPTA used filmmaking to advance the cultural community, empower individuals, and increase technical skills of Riverside Plaza tenants.
