The Minnesota community will engage in a meditative visual experience resulting in conversations about the necessity for moments of quietude and reflection. I will assess if the installation has provided a shift in consciousness toward a positive and contemplative experience through the viewer's comments, stories, gestures, and how long they spend with the work. 2: I will develop a new body of work and participate in a series of contemplative studies workshops to gain a deeper understanding of my work. Through the creation of new work and attending the workshops, I will evaluate my artistic development by challenging my technical skills while gaining a greater knowledge about the meaning of the forms used in my paintings.
Pankau will create a meditative visual experience resulting in conversations about the necessity for quietude and reflection for Minnesota communities. Pankau gathered comments, observed viewers' gestures, and recorded how long one spent with the work to evaluate the effectiveness of the installation. Based on these methods, audiences experienced a shift in consciousness, felt calmer and more quiet.
