Artist Initiative

Project Details

Following a severe hand injury, Ollig will create a series of large oil portraits based on 3-D printed maquettes to be publicly exhibited in a gallery and two open studio viewings with an artist talk at each event.

The audience will come to see people from marginalized communities in a familiar and positive light. Attendance will be taken at the two open studio events and public exhibition. Online comments and social media 'likes' will be tabulated and the information gathered will be presented in a written paper published on the artist's website. 2: The artist will develop skills to combine 3D-printed maquettes with traditional oil painting to develop a new series of portraits. The artist will have two open studios and a public exhibition of completed paintings and maquettes. The artist will give talks at all three events describing the process and what he learned.

Outcome has been delayed due complications from Long-Covid.
