New Native Theatre artists will work closely with Dakota community members throughout Minnesota to bring their stories to the stage.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Dakota community members throughout Minnesota will work closely with New Native Theatre artists to bring their stories to the stage. We will succeed if the four Dakota reservation communities we reach out to participate in one or more storytelling workshops. 2: Dakota community members throughout Minnesota will use theatre to enrich their language revitalization practices. We will succeed if the four Dakota reservation communities we work with engage in creating a story for the stage using the Dakota language.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Despite Covid-19, 21 members of Dakota communities participated in the three-part online storytelling workshop featuring Joseph Marshall. Participant count. 2: New Native Theatre worked with 21 members of Dakota communities who participated in the workshop and monthly meetings of the core planning group. Participant count.
