The Minnesota Museum of American Art (The M), Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, and SoulTouch Productions will work collaboratively with seniors and youth from Rondo neighborhood to provide an artistic and social platform to share their stories and engage the legacy of artist Gordon Parks.

The M will deepen existing relationships with organizations, artists, and, and individuals in Saint Paul's Rondo neighborhood. The M will host pre- and post-interviews with partners to measure trust and co-define areas for continued engagement, and capture individual engagement levels through participation at related events and assessment tools co-designed with project team. 2: Program participants will see themselves reflected in and be inspired by the upcoming exhibition A Choice of Weapons, Honor and Glory. The project team will host listening sessions with the participants following their experiences with the exhibition also including an option for nonverbal reflections.
The M deepened relationships with those involved with Hallie Q. Brown Community Center. Following the project's completion, the Golden Agers were asked for feedback regarding their experiences. This was documented in video format, as well as collecting their written or verbal feedback. 2: Program participants were inspired by A Choice of Weapons, Honor, and Glory to reflect upon their community and history. The participants were inspired by the work of Gordon Parks to reflect upon their personal and community histories using a variety of artistic media and experiences.
