MacRostie Art Center will develop a program to support emerging artists in rural northern Minnesota.

MacRostie Art Center will increase its capacity for supporting emerging artists based in rural northern Minnesota. Evaluation will include a comprehensive survey of services offered to emerging artists and the number of emerging artists engaged, which will be compared to data from the three years prior to the program (FY2017-2019). 2: Emerging artists in rural northern Minnesota will feel supported in their artistic and career development. Written reflection from advisory group participants plus focus groups and individual artist interviews will demonstrate the change in artist perceptions of support and provide tangible examples of support received as a result of this project.
MacRostie Art Center increased its capacity of supporting emerging artists based in rural northern Minnesota. Services offered and number of artists served prior to the project were compared to services offered and number of artists served during the project. 2: Emerging artists in rural northern Minnesota had more opportunities for career development. MacRostie Art Center engagement with emerging artists was documented and new opportunities for emerging artists to exhibit and sell work were tracked.
