The Jungle develops a model for effective engagement around co-productions that connect the theater to culturally specific communities. Qualitative and quantitative demographic assessments of audience engagement and impact; qualitative discussions between the co-production partners about process and results, including suggested refinements of the model. 2: Asian American populations report a positive experience at the Jungle Theater and express interest in future engagement. Audience/participant survey responses; documented project participant comments shared with staff at either co-producing organization; comments posted by project participants to social media and other online forums.
We developed new strategies for community engagement and outreach in collaboration with other arts organizations. We tracked attendance each night the projections ran. We also tracked website visits around and during the periods of activity. 2: Those who attended 'Hold, Please' reported a positive, impactful experience. Website and social media visitors increased during project activities. We gathered feedback from patrons who attended 'Hold, Please' projections, and we tracked unique website visitors (3400 in August, 1600 for the September-October project period, vs. 1200 in July when we had no activity) and web page views.
