Presbyterian Homes' Johanna Shores location will collaborate with Copper Street Brass to provide monthly music learning and enrichment sessions to serve several communities including memory care and independent living.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Using the power of music, residents experience an increased quality of life, unlocking positive memories in shared community with others. Care staff, families and participants will use qualitative data such as resident observations, interviews, and surveys to measure change in quality of life following each visit with a goal to see increased cognition and social interaction.

Measurable Outcome(s)

JS residents experienced increases of quality of life in communty with others. Surveys for residents, care and program staff and artist evaluations showed increases in pro-social behavior and positive demeanor of residents who participated in the activities.
