The mission of the Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program is to provide opportunities to hear, learn, and perform orchestral music in Itasca County.

ACHF Arts Education
Student engagement will improve. Our evaluation plan will include methods of evaluation currently utilized by our program. These will include attendance records, practice time charts, participation in workshops, student and parent surveys. In addition, an annual outside assessment is con 2: IOSP become more diverse increasing enrollment to eight Native American students. IOSP will begin asking for demographic information on registration material. The number of students registered will be the measure of how effectively we remove barriers and expanding knowledge.
We lost 50% of our enrollment when we moved online. Engagement of remaining students was improved October - December. Attendance records and enrollment numbers were reviewed. Practice time charts were not used starting in March. Workshops were cancelled. Parent surveys were taken by phone.The annual outside student engagement assessment was delayed until Jan/Feb. 2: We had to delay the outreach targeting Native American populations due to Covid-19 restrictions. Planned outreach in schools were to take place in March and April of 2020. Because we were not allowed in schools, those events needed to be cancelled.
