Project Details

Ecumen Brooks and CountrySide will collaborate with a COMPAS teaching artist to develop the artistic skills of 34 senior residents through a three-course program of multisensory, mosaic, and watercolor art.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Program participants will feel a stronger sense of community, and therefore a higher quality of life, by the conclusion of the program. At the end of each residency, COMPAS will work with Ecumen to provide evaluative surveys to the teaching artist and staff during each residency to use with participants.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Program participants felt a stronger sense of community during a very trying time, and therefore a higher quality of life, by the conclusion of the pr. Compas provided an evaluative survey. This indicated that residents did indeed enjoy the safe connection during a very isolating time. Ecumen Owatonna caregivers also noted the generally improved moods of program participants on class days.
