Project Details

Clare Housing will collaborate with artist Brian Malloy to offer creative writing classes to persons living with HIV/AIDS, to build creative self-expression and tell their stories through poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction.

Persons living with HIV/AIDS will learn and practice creative writing skills in order to draft and revise their own creative works. Persons living with HIV/AIDS report changes in knowledge and skills through pre- and post-class surveys. Teaching artist will evaluate participation and increased skills through observation and reviewing student works.

A written survey was also administered to gather feedback about participants' experience.
