ACHF Arts Access
“The capacity of those providing arts experiences is increased or strengthened by changing, expanding, or enriching the ways in which they connect to their communities through the arts.” “Regional residents build connections to their own and others’ cultural heritage through regional arts and cultural events and/or activities.” I will learn new ways to impact the perception and understanding of both local and exterior community narratives through arts so as to promote a positive understanding and relationship; expand my understanding to utilize art to impact the awareness of areas of community concern whether environmental or social; grow in my knowledge of ways that arts organizations can collaborate together (as well with other organizations such as Chambers and Historical Societies) to create exponential value, whether through offerings or collaborative festivals, etc.; learn ways to better create and market joint initiatives between organizations; increase my understanding of ways to utilize theatrical initiatives to create change; gain capacity to work and lift up the arts in and through cross-cultural collaboration (with particular respect to Native Americans); and bolster knowledge of arts impact on other sectors: social, economic, etc. I will document the ideas generated by the experience, my connections to similarly motivated individuals, my connections to art and other relevant organizations of our region, an infusion of excitement and energy toward the work at hand, and application of ideas into my professional and volunteer responsibilities.
