Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

By 2021, the Nordic Center will have effective community communication and public relations structures and resources in place. By 2021, the Nordic Center will have 1) an updated website and 2) improved operations for communications, programming, and outreach. These will be assessed with assistance from the Nordic Center’s first part-time activities coordinator with board administration. The website effectiveness will be measured by tracking number of visitors to the site. Programming will be measured by attendee satisfaction with all Nordic Center events. The Nordic Center will continue to collect quantitative (participant and presenter written surveys, event attendee tracking, and a formalized membership structure) and qualitative data (focus group and testimonials) to inform operations. To measure the effectiveness of communications and programming, the Nordic Center will 1) Develop and offer an online (Survey Monkey) and/or a simplified check-off style written survey for program attendees. 2) Complete plans to form an advisory council and solicit annual feedback from this council. This advisory body will consist of invited community members, each with needed expertise for the organization on a volunteer basis. Our success to hire an activities coordinator will be measured by the degree to which we can plan and execute program plans, secure funds, conduct outreach and build an effective effective internal and external relations.
