Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Currently the administrative assistant works 20 hours a week. Our goal is to be able to continue funding that many hours without negatively impacting the Edge programming budgets. We plan to learn if the 20 hours is enough time to provide needed graphic design and printing, data processing, Gallery staffing, general office work, bookkeeping support, and ticket sales for the Edge. The revised job description provides a tool to measure outcomes. The performance of the administrative assistant/ designer will be measured by how well the duties and competencies outlined in the job description are met. With this tool, the board can decide if the expectations of the job are too broad or the performance of the staff person is inadequate. All of the administrative assistant/designer's work supports the Edge volunteer arts organizers in accomplishing their programming and fundraising. Because the grant funding is for internal operations, measuring the outcomes for this complex position means consulting with the volunteers who rely most on using the completed work. The programming volunteers will evaluate whether their artistic projects are sufficiently supported by the work of the administrative assistant. Evaluating graphic design and printed materials is based on their timely, professional, accurate, and beautiful completion. The board treasurer/office supervisor evaluates by office work and bookkeeping support. Data information should be current and available when needed to make fundraising decisions or to use current contact information. The board will analyze and evaluate how well the administrative assistant/designer performs the duties and fits the competency requirements in the job description.
