Detroit Lakes Senior High will collaborate with Copper Street Brass to present a yearlong, district and community wide music learning residency with a focus on small group learning using chamber music.

Detroit Lakes students and community will learn about and experience the art of chamber music in accessible performances by CSB and student groups. Track attendance and makeup of audience at project activities, conduct surveys and interviews to measure community engagement and project accessibility. 2: Senior High band students will improve musicianship, creative thinking, and teamwork skills through participation in peer-led chamber music groups. Measure skill improvement using teacher and Teaching Artist observations, comparative analysis of formative vs. summative student surveys, and final concert observations.
Detroit Lakes students and community learned about and experienced the art of chamber music in accessible performances by the CSB and student groups. Surveys were distributed, filled out, and returned by all students who experienced an event by the CSB. Attendance numbers were also tracked at every event. 2: Senior High band students improved their musicianship, creative thinking, and teamwork skills through participation in peer-led chamber music groups. These students filled out surveys specifically about their experiences in chamber ensembles coached by the CSB.
