Project Details

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities will combine the power of a teaching artist and neighborhood young artists to collarboratively create murals for its new headquarters in the Hawthorne neighborhood of North Minneapolis in an intensive twelve-week program.

At least 80% of participants will maintain or increase their ability to express themselves by participating in/focusing on a group project. The participants will be surveyed before and after the designated projects using questionnaires to describe any changes in knowledge they have around the programming. Each question is ranked with a sliding scale of 0-4, with four being the strongest. 2: At least 80% of program participants will gain visual arts skills in graffiti, spray painting and mural design. 94% of respondents reported that they increased their ability to express themselves by participating in/focusing on a group project.
