Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Two artists will further their knowledge and skills in traditional wooden boat construction and historical/contemporary water cultures. The successful completion and launch of a second boat built by this mentor and mentee, as well as the boat's sail and other equipment, will be the primary measure of the project's success. 2: Minnesota audiences will gain access, understanding, and experiences in traditional wooden boat construction and use on the water. The applicant will also qualify and quantify the public's engagement with the project by documenting and reviewing public workshops, presentations, and volunteer activities once the project is completed.

This outcome was evaluated by tracking numbers of participants engaged in hand-on activity who learning something new and had a beneficial experience.
