Yellow Tree Theatre brings stories to life that ignite passion, inspire laughter, and awaken possibility while exploring and celebrating the great complexities of the human spirit. We strive to be a welcoming artistic venue where people of all ages and walks of life can gather to experience authentic community, and to produce high quality professional productions in the heart of the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis, making live theater more accessible to the community.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Improve caliber of productions by raising wages artists' wages and increasing resources for those artists to work with. Collect audience and critic feedback on productions; track through audience surveys and artist interviews; assess equitable pay for designers, actors and directors. 2: Increase participation of diverse Minnesota artists and audiences by actively promoting diversity within Yellow Tree artists, audience and programming. Increase in participation among diverse patrons and artists will be assessed via surveys/ interviews; track through box office data; board and staff interviews; qualitative impact from participants.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Artist wages increased by 13%, caliber of productions and resources were markedly improved. Artist pay increases were analyzed and calculated from previous year. Artists who asked for pay increase received them to YTT's best extent. Critical and audience feedback was overall positive. 2: YTT saw a 92% increase in patrons identifying as non-white; 200% increase in artists identifying as non-white. Evaluation methods included audience and artist surveys, direct feedback via email and social media, and an increase in educational programming and outreach efforts.
