ACHF Arts Access
Provide opportunities for 150+ boys of all abilities to learn and perform classic and contemporary choral works through participation in the MNBC. 1) Number of boys served as members; 2) Number of choral pieces memorized and performed; 3) Qualitative assessment of the Boychoir experience through member feedback and evaluations. 2: Perform free community concerts each year, including school venues whose populations would not otherwise have access to live concert experiences. We will measure outcome 2 by performing at least four free community concerts; touring to local schools; and recording audience numbers attending per venue. We will also assess audiences' concert experience through online surveys.
145 boys participated in Minnesota Boychoi programs, memorizing and performing 31 choral works in four languages. 28 boys attended Boychoir Bootcamp. Quantitative data collected using numbers of participating singers and camp attendees. Qualitative data collected using satisfaction surveys and feedback from Boychoir singers, families, audiences, and summer camp participants. 2: MN Boychoir performed twelve free community concerts for nearly 3000 Minnesotans, and for over 800 students at four metro area schools. Feedback was solicited and received via the Boychoir website, Boychoir Facebook and Instagram accounts, and on-site evaluations at several venues. Audience counts are done at each full concert and school concerts, and estimated at pop-up concerts.
