The Yes Network will partner with teaching artists to create art experiences for children and teens in fourteen low-income neighborhoods to nurture creativity, strengthen social emotional skills, and create a sense of place.

350 children and teens experiencing poverty will strengthen skills in critical thinking, self-expression, creativity and problem solving. Teaching artists and their assistants will ask participants formative questions during and after each session to reflect on their experiences as well as observe changes in behaviors throughout the course of the 8-week program. 2: 350 children and teens experiencing poverty will strengthen social emotional skills in helping, sharing, cooperation, and friendship building. 470 children and teens experiencing poverty strengthened their skills in critical thinking, self-expression, creativity and problem solving. Staff used sign-ins to track participation, assessed participants' completed work for self-expression and creativity, and asked formative questions during and after sessions to gain insights into their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 2: 470 children and teens experiencing poverty strengthened their social emotional skills in helping, sharing, cooperation, and friendship building.
