Measurable Outcome(s)

There were two targets, both of which were achieved. First, a preservationist visited the New Ulm Fire Department and conducted a general preservation assessment by interviewing the Fire Chief and Library Director, observing the collection, and taking numerous measurements. Second, the preservationist prepared an extensive long-range conservation plan that can be implemented immediately.

We achieved these results because of clear communication regarding our expectations and because of the time we spent with the preservationist having a two-way conversation about the collection.
