ACHF Arts Education
Students will participate in 5, 50-minute classes with a professional artist offering guidance and instruction. Students will: increase their knowledge about story construction and create their own stories, explore facets of theater production, experiment with different forms of dance and choreography, demonstrate yoga sequences and practice through storytelling, create 5 artworks using a variety of watercolor techniques, and demonstrate Taiko (Japanese) drumming techniques while learning about its cultural importance. Lindbergh Elementary enrichment students will create an Arts Alive! newscast, they will interview students and artists asking in depth questions about their experiences during week. Reporters will have resources such as keywords to prompt higher-level thinking about knowledge gained about the arts and themselves, comprehension, and application throughout one's lifetime.
