Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment raises revenue for Clean Water, Outdoor Heritage, Parks and Trails, and Arts and Cultural Heritage. Libraries are beneficiaries of a portion of the Arts and Cultural Heritage Funding.

The City of Grand Rapids replaced 26 existing light bulbs and fixtures with more energy efficient bulbs and fixtures that more closely resemble the original ones installed in 1895 in the Old Central School, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
To implement recommendations from an HVAC evaluation that will ensure better climate control for the preservation of historic resources documenting Itasca County history.
Minnesota Public Radio is the state's largest cultural organization, providing 96 percent of the population with free access to some of the best broadcast cultural programming in the world. Minnesota Public Radio is using a grant from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund to implement projects around the following four goals:
To organize, catalogue, and rehouse an extensive collection of maps and documents from the former Minnesota and Ontario Paper Mill, located in International Falls.
To broaden and improve public access to Itasca County history, a website was developed and designed using ICHS criteria. Staff and volunteers have been trained in its use.
